Belt Drive Garage Door Opener operates with a belt to pull or push a trolley back and forth along the opener track. Belt Openers have the same operating way as Chain Openers but using belts, belt-shape rollers and belt bracket instead.

All steps for installing a belt drive opener are very similar to the process of installing a chain driven system. However, one step is quite unique and important.

The manufacturers have their special designs in terms of tightening the belt. Most of the manufacturers use a threaded shaft to connect the belt and a travel trolley. Some designs offer a spring nut to fasten the shaft. Remember to release the wash of this shaft to lock the shaft after your connecting the belt. Fail to do so, the belt would become loose due to the vibrations of operation. Sooner or later, the belt would completely loose from the shaft.
